1. About Alkateia

Alkateia is a private family communication app.

The service supports individual and group conversations, text and voice messages, location sharing, notifications, presence and read features, private invitations, and safety tools including SOS.

Alkateia has no public people search, followers, public groups, nearby people, or mechanisms designed to connect strangers.

Joining a family depends on the private invitation and authorization mechanisms provided by the app.

2. Service audience

Alkateia is developed primarily for adults responsible for organizing and protecting family groups, including parents, legal guardians, and other authorized adults.

A family must be created and primarily administered by an adult with capacity to accept these Terms.

Children or teenagers may use certain features when added by a parent or guardian and with appropriate authorization and supervision.

3. User account

An account is required for certain features. Users must provide accurate information and protect their credentials.

Accounts are personal and must not be shared with unauthorized people.

Alkateia may use additional security, authentication, abuse prevention, and app integrity verification mechanisms.

4. Families and access levels

Each family is a private space within Alkateia. Members may have different roles, such as primary guardian, authorized guardian, or member.

Certain administrative functions may depend on the access level granted.

Invitations may be temporary, have expiration times, and require approval before a new person joins.

5. Use by children and teenagers

By allowing a child or teenager to use Alkateia, a parent or guardian declares they have authority to permit that use.

Parents and guardians should appropriately supervise features such as location, messages, audio, notifications, and SOS.

Alkateia does not use children's or teenagers' data for behavioral or targeted advertising.

6. Conversations and content

To report abuse or misuse, contact suporte.alkateia@gmail.com. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, or intimate content. In emergencies, use official assistance channels.

Alkateia supports text and voice messages among authorized members.

Chat is not intended for sending photographs as messages. Photos may be used for user or family profiles.

The service must not be used for threats, stalking, harassment, fraud, exploitation of minors, violence, illegal activity, or violations of others' rights.

7. Status, delivery, and reading

Alkateia may display online status, last access, sent confirmations, and read receipts.

Where available, privacy settings may allow users to control certain features.

8. Location

Users may share location with authorized family members.

Sharing may represent current location, 15-minute location, or live location while the feature remains active.

The app requests necessary permissions, and users may stop active sharing using the available options.

9. SOS

SOS helps a member quickly alert their family.

When activated, it may share identity, time, and location and generate notifications, sound, and vibration on compatible devices.

Alkateia is not a public or professional emergency service.

The app does not replace the police, fire department, SAMU, medical assistance, or other official emergency channels.

Operation depends on factors such as internet, signal, permissions, operating system, battery, and third-party services.

10. Subscriptions and payments

A family subscription covers up to five people in total, including the subscriber. Plans, prices, billing frequency, and subscription terms are displayed in the app before purchase confirmation.

Before confirming a purchase, check the total price, billing frequency, included features, and renewal conditions in the offer and subscription screen. For automatically renewing subscriptions, cancel renewal through the responsible store if you do not want another charge.

For Google Play purchases, check your subscriptions. Canceling renewal, deleting an account, and requesting a refund are separate procedures. Questions about billing, cancellation, refunds, and withdrawal rights may be sent to Alkateia support without prejudice to store channels and rights under Brazilian law. Store operating rules do not override mandatory consumer rights.

Certain features may require a paid plan.

Purchases and renewals may be processed by Google Play or the App Store.

Alkateia may receive purchased product information, subscription status, and access validity, but does not receive full payment card details.

Deleting an Alkateia account does not automatically cancel a recurring store subscription.

11. Account deletion

Users may request deletion through Settings → Delete my account.

A public page is also available for deletion requests.

Deletion may remove authentication, profile, profile photo, preferences, registered devices, invitations, sent messages, audio files, SOS data, and other records directly linked to the account.

If a direct conversation cannot continue after deletion, it may be removed.

If the user is the primary family guardian and other members remain, administration may be transferred to another family member. Before requesting deletion of the primary guardian's account, contact support for guidance on continuing administration under a responsible adult.

12. Suspension and service protection

Alkateia may restrict or suspend accounts where there is evidence of fraud, abuse, attempted unauthorized access, violation of these Terms, security risks, or a legal obligation.

13. Availability

We seek to keep the service available and secure, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Maintenance, internet failures, operating system limitations, updates, or third-party outages may temporarily affect features.

14. Intellectual property

The Alkateia brand, visual identity, code, interfaces, graphic elements, original text, and other components are protected by applicable law.

15. User responsibility

Users must use the app lawfully and responsibly.

Location information, messages, and other features must not be used to stalk, abusively control, intimidate, or endanger anyone.

16. Changes to the service and these Terms

Alkateia may receive new features and technical changes. These Terms may also be updated.

Significant changes may be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.

17. Applicable law

These Terms are interpreted under applicable Brazilian law, including consumer and data protection rules where appropriate.
